A little care goes a long way with handloom fabrics.
Cotton & khadi
Cold hand-wash for the first three washes. Machine wash on gentle after that, inside out, with mild detergent.
Silk & zari
Dry clean only. Store folded in soft cotton mulmul cloth away from direct sunlight.
Leather chappals
Wipe with a dry cloth. Condition every 3 months with neatsfoot oil. Avoid prolonged exposure to rain.
